Nowhere Else enriches you the way Borgo Egnazia does. Owned and created by the local Melpignano family, this is a place that enhances and celebrates the southern Italian values of localness, tradition and spirit … but with a modern and relevant touch.

Borgo Egnazia

Perhaps it is the authentic architecture and the striking use of white tufo stone, or the enriched local tastes and experiences that educate guests in century old traditions that make Borgo Egnazia so unique. It is of course all of these, but in particular, the team bring the Italian estate to life. They not only embody the genuine Puglian warmth and friendly values southern Italy is proud to be known for, but the Borgo team see their guests as an extension of the family welcoming new and returning guests like old friends.

Food glorious food

Apparently we are what we eat and at Borgo Egnazia, if this is true, everyone is home grown, organic, colourful and incredibly tasty! Just about all the ingredients have been picked, harvested or caught the very day they arrive to Chef. Children thrive on the local flavours and by the end of your time here, a separate children’s menu is not required – the tastes of Puglia are so wonderful, children are excited to try all culinary options. Expect rainbow colours of fruit and vegetables, almond milk and some of the world’s juiciest olives. A must is treating yourself to the pistachio gelato with a drop of San Domenico olive oil.

Inspired celebrations

Borgo Egnazia has created some of the world’s most talked about and truly original wedding creations from large parties in the hundreds to small intimate affairs of twenty guests. Inspired by the land and its heritage, corporate teams bond over orecciette making, olive oil harvesting or by taking in the scenery and driving vintage sports cars whilst completing treasure hunts around farm fields and local villages such as Alberobello and Polignano a Mare.
